About Summerfield Homeowners Association
The Summerfield Homeowners Association is governed by a volunteer board of five elected homeowners. The Association is self-managed which helps keep annual dues significantly lower than associations that contract with an outside management firm.

Your HOA Board Members

Dan Carr, President
Dan and his family moved to Summerfield from the midwest in 2017, and he has served on the HOA board since 2021.  He is married with two kids, and spends most of his time serving as their personal chauffeur and chef.  He enjoys cycling, hiking, and road trips with his family.
Denise Shields, VP/Architectural Committee Chair, 858-859-1724
Denise and her husband moved to Summerfield in April 2019. Denise has served as the Architectural Chair/VP of the HOA board since February 2022.  She has worked in the Real Estate business for over 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, entertaining with friends and family, gardening, and all things purple.
Maria Stein, Secretary
Maria and her husband relocated from the Bay Area to Summerfield in August 2015.  She is the newly-elected member of the HOA board.  Maria works as an HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist for a printing company.  She is married with 4 grown children and her interests are party planning, crafting, decorating, traveling and (especially) shopping.
Michael Spring, Treasurer
Michael and his family moved into Summerfield in 2015. He has served on the HOA board as treasurer since 2019. Michael works for a 1031 Exchange company. He is married with two children and in his spare time enjoys traveling, camping, and spending countless hours watching his kids play basketball.
Donny Phonea, Special Projects
Donny has lived in Summerfield since 2019.  He works in the finance sector as a regulator. He is married with two kids. During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and golfing. He also enjoys traveling, playing rock music, and going to wineries.

Board Meetings
The Board typically meets on the second Wednesday of every month. The agenda for the monthly Board meetings are posted four days prior to the meeting date outside the community pool area. Homeowners wishing to attend a meeting or address the Board regarding a specific issue should contact the Board president prior to the meeting. Contact Us Form  or email at [email protected].

Architectural Committee Meetings
The Architectural Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month. The committee reviews any reported violations and reviews all Applications for Architectural Improvement Forms. Homeowners wishing to submit an Application for Architectural Improvement should do prior to the monthly Architectural Committee Meeting.

Annual Meeting
The Summerfield Homeowners Association holds an Annual Meeting in May of each year. At that time, the Board presents current financial statements, a budget for the new fiscal year, and holds elections for any Board openings.
